- Accumulator
- A single bet that links two or more selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap applied to a team to level the match, eliminating the draw option and offering two possible outcomes.
- Back
- To place a bet in favor of a particular outcome happening.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you set aside for making bets.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that lets you combine different markets from the same match into a single custom bet.
- Bet Slip
- The digital record that lists your selected bets, stake, and potential payout before you confirm.
- Bonus
- Extra funds credited by the sportsbook, often subject to conditions before you can withdraw.
- Cash Out
- An option to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Decimal Odds
- Odds expressed as a decimal number that includes your stake; multiply your stake by the decimal to calculate total return.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that wins if your chosen team wins, and you get your stake back if the match ends in a draw.
- Expected Value
- The average amount you can expect to win or lose per bet over time, based on the odds and probability.
- First Goal Scorer
- A bet on which player will score the first goal in a match.
- Free Bet
- A bet you can place without using your own money, usually given as a promotion; any winnings are paid to you.
- Handicap
- A points advantage given to one team to make a match more balanced for betting purposes.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing a bet after the match has started while the action is happening.
- Lay
- To bet that a particular outcome will not happen, effectively taking the opposite side of a Back bet.
- Live Betting
- Another term for in‑play betting, allowing bets on events as they unfold.
- Moneyline
- A simple bet on which team will win the match, with no point spread involved.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals in a match will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Parlay
- A bet that combines multiple selections; all must be correct for a payout, similar to an accumulator.
- Rollover Requirement
- The number of times you must wager a bonus amount before you can withdraw it as cash.
- Spread
- The expected margin of victory or defeat used to create balanced betting odds on both sides.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a particular bet.
- Void Bet
- A bet that is cancelled and your stake is refunded, usually due to a match being postponed or a rule violation.
